Good prudential monitoring and management of indebtedness is obviously important.

However, nobody's talking about injecting funds into depressed economies to soak up excess capacity and grow the economy -- and grow the tax base to help repay debts and raise living standards.

<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keynesian_economics#Concepts">Classical economic theory</a> is failing yet again.
