What is interesting is the assumption that...

What is interesting is the assumption that working as a sex worker is wrong or immoral, as if she has something seedy in her past to be forgiven or punished.

In other contexts, such as women marrying into money for their beauty and sexual prowess, or even having sex in exchange for dinner, sex for money or goods or services is widely accepted. In fact, the traditional family is partly based on financial security in exchange for domestic and sexual services. Why isn't that considered immoral?

Treating someone badly for being, or having been, a sex worker is immoral and often hypocritical.

And I agree. I only wish the US would look at its own human rights record and lift its own game too. Nevertheless, even if there's some moral blindness and denial of what's happening on the home front, it does help if the US pushes for improved human rights, even if it's selective, around the world. Who else would they listen to?
Barack Obama tells Xi Jinping China must improve its human rights record

The Iranian government, like the Chinese ...

The Iranian government, like the Chinese government, is sorely lacking in popular legitimacy. A series of failed economic results would put the Communist Party in China in peril. The well-educated and sophisticated population of Iran probably thought the mullahs would be around long enough to see off the Shah of Iran and his brutal regime. What we may now be seeing is a clutching for legitimacy by a kind of nuclear pride, and attempts to build support for the regime by focussing on manufactured Iranian enemies which the regime is determined to provoke.

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, it's important to ensure that the stuff we use is probably safe (you can never be certain). On the other hand, there's a substantial crazy element in society that seems to exhibit the modern exemplars of hysteria claiming that mobile phone towers give them headaches.

The other important link in determining whether that first kiss makes the grade is body scent. The highest concentration of scent or sebaceous glands are near the nose, face and neck. Each of us has a unique scent and the human nose is able to detect over 9,000 different molecules. When you press your nose over your prospective lover's neck or jaw-line, only you will know if their scent is just right.

Lastly, there's a valid evolutionary reason why men slip women a wet, sloppy tongue kiss. Male saliva contains testosterone, a hormone in short supply in females. Just a few male testosterone molecules raise women's libido, readying that passionate scene for intimacy.
The magic of the first kiss
A kiss is just a kiss. Or is it? Whether you're looking for love or happily coupled this Valentine's Day, take a moment to ponder the incredible moment that is... the first kiss.
